When I appear near WTC, at the blocked by police
City hall square,
nothing give me possibility to do "short extra
call" to my daughter in WTC".
Cellulars unworking, near phones lot of peoples.
I done it but later, ... when some russian women
with she's daughter in payphone query pull me in query.
When first tower collapse I dont understand
about, because I couldn't saw it directly from City hall.
I thought only about big explosion.
Around panic, fear, shouts, feebleness of the
people... Policemens cryed: "Go, GO, GO" .., and all runs
I remain at the place, and done calls from
people empty phones... nothing.
Then I pass 2 blocks by Chamber str. and saw
only one tower, my daughter ...
I don't know why, but I asked policemen "where
second one?", - "It's GONE" - he only said me ...
Here, on my eyes, collapsed "our", north tower
...
I don't know why, but I don't hear nothing by my
ears, only saw that all...
Later I walk afoot to the home, via the
Manhattan bridge, across all Brooklyn, to the Brighton, with hoisted hand,
more than 20 km, nothing help me
or others ...
Between ours was mens all covered by "WTC dust",
... around cars, ... very hot, ... they also lost help ...
Only near churches we was served by water...
I was need to take my grandson from
school and be at home, near phone.
Then I had illusions and reasons that my
daughter may be not in towers ..., and she make calls to
the empty home
I don't sence, understand you me enough, or not? ... my english ...
Nobody has answered for that has taken place, nobody has not repented
...
Later, I am waiting in NY 2 months, ... nothing,
...
any information, ... not from hospitals,... I had
find Lithuanian doctors in Manhattan hospitals ... them
was forbidden to say anymore ...; not from police examiners (I made visit in NYU
with Helens friends and create the
case of Helen's loss),
... not from Family center, full of dogs, empty
mans, food and shamans...
The unformal memorials were destroyed ... (Union square, village,...).
Policemen on Union square answered me: " It's GONE..", later seen my
reaction he added: "Will be true memorial, on Ground Zero, later ..."
Happened, that there was no place to hang up a flyer for daughter, ...
to put flowers, ... near to the Ground Zero ...
I think, only in US may be so, ... God turn out
